Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German television and film actress best known for her performances in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her show business career early. She was a lead actress in TV dramas as young when she was just 16. Following her highly praised role in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went further to take on other memorable role like Adolf's secretary Traudljunge on Downfall. It won an Oscar and received critical acclaim. Other Oscar nominated film starring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Over the years Alexandra was involved in numerous significant international and local projects. These projects include The British biographical film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historical Miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was a member of juries at Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
